Maghery Community Playground
Maghery is a small coastal community on the Northern coast of Co. Donegal, approximately 4 mile from the town of Dungloe. The main industries are oyster farming and tourism.All community activities are organised and based around the purpose build community hall. The site flies three flags: The EU flag, the Donegal flag and the Irish Tricolour.

This playground is nestled behind a large sand ridge which runs parallel to the beach The ridge provides protection from the savages of the Atlantic Ocean. The playground did not require a rubber safety surface as the depth of the sand was sufficient to ensure adequate impact protection. The local community have noted a significant increase in visitor numbers since the playground was installed.
The playground is visually balanced with a large Combination Tower inc.a climbing wall, steps and slide on the left side of the playground and a slide buried into a large sand dune on the far right side. The Giant Birds Nest is an inclusive item and always provides excitement and fun. The giant Double Swing is equipped with safety rubber belt swing seats. The See-saw and enclosed Spring Animals cater for the younger children. The three way ball catcher can be used individually or for team games.
